WAYNE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT TO IMPLEMENT POSS SCHEDULING SOFTWARE THROUGH EMPIRE
Wayne County, NY has signed an Agreement to implement the Police Officer Scheduling System (POSS) at their Sheriff’s Department. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department under the leadership of Sheriff Richard Pisciotti is one of the most modern law enforcement and correctional services agencies in New York State.
Wayne County Sheriff has a staff of 175, serving a County with a population of 94,000. “We are always looking for ways to be more efficient, save time and increase production. POSS will dramatically reduce the time supervisory staff and senior account clerks at the Sheriff’s Office spend on scheduling and payroll related tasks” said Barry Virts (Chief Deputy-Jail Facility.) Deb George (IT Director) stated “POSS offered the County a payroll interface that will save significant data entry. The software also provides an audit trail for time off and overtime approvals.”
“Wayne County is our first NYS Jail implementation and we look forward to working with them to make it a major success” said Mike McGuire (VP of Business Development). The project will start in April and is expected to go live in the second quarter.
