BROOKFIELD, CT TO OFFER ON-LINE PR-1 WITH POLICEREPORTS.US
Earlier this month the Brookfield, CT Police Department started offering the Connecticut PR-1 Accident Reports online with PoliceReports.US. “Our service arrangement with PoliceReports.US allows our citizens and insurance companies to download the reports right from their desktop computer 24 hours a day/7 days a week. We look forward to this project as another means of getting closer to paperless reporting. We also look forward to providing the requestor a convenient way to purchase the reports by credit card which we’re not set up to do right now!” stated Major Jay Purcell. “We also expect to save money on paper, toner, envelopes, and postage.”
The Brookfield Police Department serves a Town of over 15,000 citizens with 31 sworn officers covering over 20 square miles. The Department has a history of using computer systems to improve the efficiency of the department and provide better service to the public. The distribution of accident reports over the Internet is another example of this.
“I’ve worked with the Brookfield Police in the past. For a relatively small department, they’ve done a lot with their technology enhancements over the last few years” stated Mike McGuane (Regional Manager).
