NORWICH, CT POLICE TO DISTRIBUTE ACCIDENT REPORTS WITH POLICEREPORTS.US
The Norwich, CT Police Department has begun to distribute PR-1 Accident Reports online with PoliceReports.US this month. “More than half the incoming correspondence generated from the Records Division is requests for accident reports”, stated Lt. William Molis, the Records Division Supervisor. “With PoliceReports.US archiving and distributing our accident reports, we hope to reduce the amount of accident report requests we receive as well as provide an immediate and convenient service to the public. In working with both PoliceReports.US and Empire Software Solutions, we were able to have the system in place and available to the public in just a couple of days!”
The Norwich Police Department serves a City of 38,000 with 95 officers covering nearly 30 square miles. The Department is among the oldest in the nation and has a history of using technology to improve service. The distribution of accident reports over the Internet is another example of this.
“I have worked with the Norwich Police Department in their technology advancements for the past eight years and look forward to partnering with them once again to make this project a success” stated Mike McGuane, the Regional Manager for Empire Software Solutions.
