SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY DPS TO BENEFIT FROM POSS SCHEDULING SOFTWARE AND BIOMETRIC TIME CLOCKS
Syracuse University has signed an Agreement to implement the Police Officer Scheduling System (POSS) with integrated biometric time clocks at their Department of Public Safety (DPS). The Syracuse University DPS under the leadership of Chief Anthony Callisto is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors to the University.
Syracuse University DPS has a staff of over 200 full and part time employees serving the University Community. “Tight budgets make it so we must use our resources as effectively as possible. POSS with integrated biometric time clocks will reduce the time DPS staff spends on scheduling while increasing accountability” said Chief Callisto. Donna Adams (Associate Director) stated “We liked that POSS was developed using the Microsoft products we are familiar with which will ease the learning curve of our users and technical staff.”
“Syracuse University DPS joins an increasing number of NYS Police Departments that are seeing that POSS can be a valuable tool in their efforts to make their Departments more efficient” said Mike McGuire (VP of Business Development). The project will start in September and is expected to go live in the fourth quarter.
