SHEBOYGAN, WI POLICE NOW OFFERS ACCIDENT REPORTS ONLINE THROUGH POLICEREPORTS.US

Effective September 1, 2010, the Sheboygan Police Department in Wisconsin began providing access to accident reports online with a software system from PoliceReports.US.  According to the department’s news release, “This is part of an ongoing effort to make the retrieval of reports more convenient for the public, while creating efficiencies within the police department.”

 

The Sheboygan Police Department, with 85 officers serving a population of 51,000, is a leader in implementing new technology to provide the best police services possible.  Online distribution of accident reports through PoliceReports.US is another such initiative.

 

“We are excited to be working with the Sheboygan Police Department,” stated Kevin Hartman, Regional Manager for Empire Software Solutions, the company that provides the system in Wisconsin.  Sheboygan joins a growing list of agencies in Wisconsin utilizing PoliceReports.US.

NIAGARA COUNTY SHERIFF TO IMPLEMENT POSS/COSS TO IMPROVE SHIFT SCHEDULING AND PAYROLL PROCESSING

Niagara County in Lockport, NY has signed an Agreement to implement the Police (Corrections) Officer Scheduling System (POSS/COSS) at the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office. “In this time of tight County budgets we must use our personnel resources as effectively as possible. The POSS system will allow us to do this by streamlining the shift scheduling and payroll data collection process” stated Sheriff James R. Voutour  “When implemented, POSS will allow Supervisory and Administrative staff to redirect time that is presently spent on this tedious task to other critical areas in the Sheriff’s Office.” (more…)

TOWN OF CLARKSTOWN POLICE IMPROVE EFFICIENCY AND SERVICE WITH ONLINE ACCIDENT REPORTS

This month the Town of Clarkstown Police Department became the first police agency in Rockland County, NY to start offering online distribution of Accident Reports with PoliceReports.US. “This will make our Records Division more efficient and provide a public service while being cost effective” stated Lt. AYER MA POLICE PROVIDES ONLINE ACCIDENT REPORTS WITH POLICEREPORTS.US

Last month, the Ayer MA Police Department started a business relationship with North Carolina based PoliceReports.US.  The company provides a free service to local police departments that will place Ayer’s accident reports on-line so they’re available 24/7 for residents and insurance companies.  “Our department gets a fair number of requests from insurance companies for these crash reports.  This takes our records staff a good portion of the day trying to fulfill these requests,” said Lt. Brian Gill.  “We expect this service will save our employees valuable time that we can use in other areas of the department.” (more…)

TOWN OF HAVERSTRAW POLICE TO USE POSS TO IMPROVE SHIFT SCHEDULING AND PAYROLL DATA COLLECTION

BROOKFIELD, CT TO OFFER ON-LINE PR-1 WITH POLICEREPORTS.US

Earlier this month the Brookfield, CT Police Department started offering the Connecticut PR-1 Accident Reports online with PoliceReports.US.  “Our service arrangement with PoliceReports.US allows our citizens and insurance companies to download the reports right from their desktop computer 24 hours a day/7 days a week.  We look forward to this project as another means of getting closer to paperless reporting.  We also look forward to providing the requestor a convenient way to purchase the reports by credit card which we’re not set up to do right now!” stated Major Jay Purcell.  “We also expect to save money on paper, toner, envelopes, and postage.” (more…)

HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ POLICE TO DISTRIBUTE CRASH REPORTS WITH POLICEREPORTS.US

The Hopewell Township, NJ Police Department has begun to distribute NJTR-1 Crash Reports online with PoliceReports.US this past month. “More than half the incoming correspondence generated from the Records Division is requests for accident reports”, stated Chief George Meyer.  “With PoliceReports.US archiving and distributing our accident reports, we hope to reduce the amount of accident report requests we receive as well as provide an immediate and convenient service to the public.  In working with both PoliceReports.US and Empire Software Solutions, we were able to have the system in place and available to the public in just a couple of days!” (more…)
